Báalam in Mayan means Jaguar, Háal means Shore.

The Mangrove habitats all over the planet are the incubators of life that feed the world's oceans, protect coastlines and capture carbon emissions. It is here that life starts for thousands of species that will eventually fill the coral reefs and pelagic zones with life.

It is the Mangrove ecosystem the one that gives refuge to billions of marine larvae and sustains life for thousands of species.

They are NOW under serious threat

Báalam Háal was envisioned to create conscience and motivate individuals and organizations to promote green entrepreneurship, conservation, restoration and stop the destruction of the mangrove forests not only in the Yucatan peninsula but around the world.

Joining other groups and organizations currently fighting to reverse the damage inflicted by unsustainable practices by communities,

governments and corporations.

About me

My name is Camila and I want to do all I can to help the Mayan Mangrove ecosystem in the Yucatan peninsula before it is gone forever.

I have witnessed the devastation caused by resort developments, government projects and indiscriminate exploitation from local communities.
